The German car manufacturer Audi, is actively developing in the direction of the electrification of its cars, it is not going to lower the rates. In his annual letter to the shareholders the head of the company announced that the first rechargeable hybrid car from the wall outlet under the brand Audi will appear in 2014.

The novelty will be the Audi A3 plug – in hybrid, said the head of the company Rupert Stadler. The sales of the car will begin in 2014. Moreover, in the same year to the market will come two more hybrid cars – these versions will be included in the next generation of the models A4 and Q7.
According to Stadler, the rechargeable hybrids from the wall will allow the company to bring electrified cars to the masses. Audi Corporation doesn’t want the purchase of such a car meant for the buyer a rejection of the usual characteristics of the cars with the four rings on the radiator grille, such as the quality, the sports character and the effectiveness. The hybrid versions of the serial cars will have to be a common requirement for the model number.
It is not necessary to wait for a fully electric “Audi”. Audi A1 e-tron is already on the streets of Munich. In the near future in the United States should begin similar tests on Audi A3 e-tron. The next year will go on sale the first German fully electric supercar Audi R8 e-tron.
The company has set itself the task – in 2020 to become the leading seller of the electric cars in the premium segment. Achieving such performance will be due to the removal to the market the model of e-tron in each segment.
