In the Toyota Company are going to develop the success of the abbreviation FT, under which the last two years has been known the sports coupe, built together with the Subaru Company. The Japanese manufacturer will bring a new concept called Toyota FT Bh to the Geneva Auto Show, but it will not have any relationship to the sport.
In the Toyota Company there has been issued a teaser of the new concept, premiere of which is scheduled for the Swiss car exhibition. Its name – FT Bh – the developers interpret as Future Toyota B – segment hybrid, that is “future Toyota hybrid for the B – segment”. Thus, it becomes clear that we are talking about the next compact prototype of the hybrid power plant.
According to the official data, the concept will be twice as environmentally friendly than the current representatives of that segment. To achieve this goal the Toyota Company just is going to act in five directions: the reduction of the total weight, the optimization of the aerodynamics, the reduction of the transmission losses, the management of the thermoregulation and the energy conservation. To describe in the more details what constitutes the aforesaid activities, in the Toyota Company are going closer to the premiere of the concept.
However, it is already known that the prototype will weigh less than the hatch Yaris in the serial hybrid version, but it will get five doors instead of three for “Yaris”.
We also add that, judging by the existing teaser we see that the developers of the design of the concept have stood in the style specified as a coupe Toyota FT 86. In addition, it is worth to be noted that, according to the present industrial policy of the Toyota Company, the concept has all the chances on the conveyor.
